A strong believer and practitioner of the dictum ‘Knowledge Is Power’, Khalsa College of Education, G.T. Road, Amritsar under the able stewardship of the Management, Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar has been on the path of delivering quality education by developing the young human resources on the foundation of ethical and moral values, while boosting their leadership qualities research culture and innovative skills. The college with a sprawling 8.75 acres of land area offers an invigorating ambience and state-of-the-art legendary infrastructure.In terms of credentials, the college has a long history of achievements. The most recent being:-

• Accreditation of the college with highest ‘A’ grade in 03 consecutive cycles by NAAC (2003, 2011 & 2016).
• Appointment of the college as Mentor institute by NAAC for providing guidance and assistance to those institutes who intend to get themselves accredited by NAAC.
• Organisation of National Workshop by NCTE in the college for the designing and development of model curriculum of B.Ed.,M.Ed.,B.P.Ed.&M.P.Ed. for the whole country. The model curriculum developed here was adopted by NCTE and circulated to all the Universities in the country.
• Frontrunner in providing reading material for the Colleges of Education.
• Organisation of Regional Consultative Meeting of NCTE on New Education Policy-2016 (Northern) for Teacher Education.

For broadening the mental horizon of the students, a large number of National & International Conferences, Seminars & Workshops are organised by the college at regular intervals. Such events provide a variety of experiences to the students and inculcate skills such as leadership and team spirit, which are helpful in their career. Our faculty members are experienced and highly qualified and have been able to publish good quality research work in high impact factor journals of repute. There is an active interaction between the faculty and students in the campus. The learning experiences in the campus pave a strong path for enhancement of overall development of the learners.

The campus of the college is ICT enabled and provides an e-learning and e-connect environment along with class co-ordination system as well as virtual classrooms.

To facilitate research and advanced reading, the library of the college has access to e-journals, e-books and other online resources through the membership of INFLIBNET and DELNET. The reading room of the college library has been fully air-conditioned to provide the best learning environment. The whole collection of the library has been bar coded and OPAC can be accessed online.

The laboratories are laced with computers having latest configuration to provide opportunities to the students to translate theory into practice.

The college has a Heritage Guest House-a wonderful sojourn of tradition and modernity showcasing glimpses of rich Punjabi culture.

The college offers on campus separate and secure accommodation for boys and girls. The boys and girls hostel with modern facilities have provision of well-equipped gym and separate courts for Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Badminton, Hockey, Cricket and Swimming Pool.

The hallmark of quality of any institute of Higher Education is gauged from the employability of its products. We at Khalsa College of Education, G. T. The college is away from the city humdrums and industrial/commercial area. It is located in well-maintained Heritage building and has lush green surroundings with variety of flora and fauna which gives solace to the mind. The serenity alongwith a complex structure of curricular and co-curricular activities shape the physical, mental and intellectual growth of the students.
